INGREDIENTS:
- Snake gourd 700 gram
- Prawns (medium sized) 250 gram
- Onion 2 medium finely chopped
- Coconut (freshly grated) 4 tbsp
- Yellow Mustard Paste 1 tbsp
- Green chilis 2-3 slit lengthwise
- Nigella Seeds 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Mustard oil 2-3 tbsp
METHOD:

Wash and scrape off the skin. Slice them thinly.
Clean and devein the prawns.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the prawns till they turn pink. Remove and keep aside.
Temper the same oil with nigella seeds and green chilis. When they sizzle add chopped onions and stir fry till they turn translucent.
Add sliced snake gourd, turmeric powder, salt and sugar. Cover and cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes until almost tender.
Add mustard paste and grated coconut and cook for 2-3 minutes until the raw smell of mustard disappears.
Add the fried prawns and cook everything together for another 3-4 minutes.
Drizzle a little mustard oil on top and serve as a side dish with steamed rice, dal and cucumber raita.
