INGREDIENTS:
- Prawns 500 gram deveined and peeled
- Garlic Powder 1 tsp
- Garlic Cloves 6-7 finely chopped
- Red Chili Flakes 1 tbsp
- Smoked Paprika 1/2 tbsp
- Salt as required
- Parsley 1 tsp
- Lime juice 1/4 th tsp
- White Pepper Powder 1/4 th tsp
- Red Chili Sauce 2 tbsp
- Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
- Water 1/2 cup
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Butter 1 tbsp
METHOD:
Serving Size: 4-5
Heat oil and butter in a pan and gently fry the garlic.
Add the prawns and fry them for 30 seconds on each side.
Stir in the salt, chili flakes, smoked paprika powder, pepper powder and fry for a minute.
Add 1/2 cup water, red chili sauce and soy sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes until sauce is reduced and coats the prawns nicely.
Sprinkle parsley and drizzle some lime juice over the prawns. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
Enjoy chili garlic prawns hot on its own, over rice, with sauteed veggies or with some crusty bread.
A TWIST:
To make a chili prawn panzanella, coarsely tear the bread and lettuce leaves. Roughly chop few tomatoes. Toss them with the prawn mixture in a bowl and serve.
