INGREDIENTS:
- Split Green Gram (Moong Dal) 1/2 cup
- Split Red Lentil (Masoor Dal) 1/2 cup
- Carrot 1 large size diced
- Cauliflower 8-10 florets
- Green Peas 1/2 cup
- Beans 50 gram
- Tomatoes 2 large size chopped
- Ginger Paste 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
- Coconut 3 tbsp grated
- Green Chilis 1-2 chopped
- Salt to taste
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
- Dry Red chili 1-2
- Bay Leaves 2-3
- Mustard Oil 3 tbsp
- Coriander Leaves 1-2 tbsp chopped
METHOD:

Dry roast moong and masoor dal and wash them. Boil the dal with turmeric powder and salt until it is cooked.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and fry cauliflower, beans, carrots and peas. Remove and keep aside.
Heat rest of the oil and temper it with dry red chili, cumin seeds and bay leaves.
Add ginger paste, green chilis and tomatoes. Sauté until they turn mushy.
Add the vegetables and cook for 10-15 minutes.
Add boiled dal and check the seasoning. Add sugar and grated coconut. Add hot water if the consistency is too thick.
Finish it with coriander leaves and serve mix vegetable dal hot with steamed rice, or jeera rice.
