INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken Boneless (Thigh or Breast) 500 grams, cut into 1-inch pieces
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper Powder 1 tsp
- Paprika Powder 1/2 tsp
- Oregano or Italian Seasoning 1 tsp
- Butter 4 tbsp
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Chicken Stock or Water 1/2 cup
- Garlic Cloves 6-8 minced
- All-purpose Flour 1 tbsp
- Lemon Juice 1 tbsp
- Coriander Leaves chopped 1-2 tbsp
METHOD:
Serving Size: 4-5
Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, lemon juice, and paprika powder.
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken pieces on both sides until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add butter. Once it melts, stir in minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in 1 tbsp all-purpose flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
Add stock or water, and sprinkle chili flakes, oregano, or Italian seasoning.
Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat them with the butter sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve garlic butter chicken with steamed rice and mashed potatoes.
